Steve Hole was delighted, nay honoured to have been asked by Lincoln Small to work with him and 'ghost' write this great new book.
Lincoln, along with his co-founders of Radbourne Racing lived a life in Swinging Sixties London that would never happen these days. A handwritten note placed under the wiper of Lincoln's Fiat 500 stating. "We tune Fiats" signed by the Anstead brothers would lead to the formation of Radbourne Racing and a business tuning and selling Abarth products after they had cold-called Carlo Abarth one day in ... Turin!
They were also Weber carburettor importers as well as Fergat Wheels and a huge range of vehicle accessories such as 'bullet' mirrors. They also imported the Ferves Ranger to the UK, too.
When Fiat bought out Abarth in the mid-seventies Radbourne switched to representing RenaultSport/Alpine after they were approached by Renault to "do what you did for Abarth and Fiat, for us," which they duly did, selling Renault 5 Turbo2 and Alpine A310s and more.
Motorsport was also a key part of their activities from national level championships to high profile stuff like the European Touring Car Championship and in later years Lincoln ran the Formula Renault and supporting championships in the UK for several years.
His has been an unbelievable career with many ups, some downs but a whole lot of fun and frolics thrown in too. In this book, for the first time, Lincoln charts this incredible period of his life.
